Topic 16 Test,
Wednesday, March 4
We are finishing up Topic 16.
We have sorted polygons, triangles and quadrilaterals. The final lesson in Topic 16 is
symmetry. Knowing the vocabulary is the
key for success in this topic!
Science Headlines
Electricity Test Mon., March 2
We
have completed 3 different labs and two field studies related to
Electricity. We created simple, series
and parallel circuits, tested conductors and insulators and used a circuit to
create an electromagnet. Safety City
taught us about staying safe around electricity and the presentation at the
State Museum introduced us to electricity.
We will begin Magnetism on Tuesday.
Language Arts Headlines
Modal Auxiliary Verbs Quiz-Tues. Feb. 24
We will continue to read non-fiction texts and articles in USA Weekly 14 to draw
conclusions and to summarize information in the text that is related to our
current discussions in Social Studies.

We are continuing to discuss and summarize the key battles of
the American Revolution. Be sure to ask your child about the Major Battles of the
American Revolution Presentation that they are completing in class.
